Tuan L. Bui, M.D., spine surgeon, joins OrthoAtlanta Orthopaedic and Sports Medicine Specialists, bringing expertise in spinal care to patients in Gwinnett, North Fulton and South Forsyth counties. Dr. Bui specializes in adult degenerative cervical and lumbar spinal treatment, traumatic spinal injuries, motion preservation technology (total disc arthroplasty) and minimally invasive spinal surgery.

Fellowship-trained, Dr. Bui specializes in adult degenerative cervical and lumbar spinal conditions, traumatic spinal injuries, motion preservation technology (total disc arthroplasty) and minimally invasive spinal surgery. Affiliated with the Gwinnett Medical Center Duluth and Lawrenceville locations, Dr. Bui sees patients in the OrthoAtlanta Johns Creek and Gwinnett offices serving patients throughout the greater North Fulton, South Forsyth and Gwinnett areas.

Dr. Tuan Bui, together with Dr. Thomas Cadier and Dr. David Stokes, joined OrthoAtlanta effective September 1, 2015, choosing to close their physician practice, Orthopedic Surgery, P.C., and migrate their respective practices and patients to OrthoAtlanta

A native of Atlanta, Georgia, Dr. Tuan Bui graduated with honors from Emory University with a Bachelor of Science, Biology, and completed his Master of Medical Science degree and orthopedic surgery residency at Emory University School of Medicine. He holds his Doctor of Medicine degree from Drexel University College of Medicine, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Dr. Bui pursued a prestigious spine surgery fellowship at OrthoCarolina in Charlotte, NC. During his fellowship year, he traveled around the country as well as internationally to learn advance technology and surgical techniques that are used around the world. He continues to travel and teach surgeons on new innovative techniques and procedures. He is well-known and is published in multiple orthopedic journals and media. Professional memberships include the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons, North American Spine Society, Cervical Spine Research Society and International Society for Advancement of Spine Surgery. Dr. Bui is the founder of the Atlanta Spine Society. Dr. Bui and his wife, Phuong, reside in Atlanta. He enjoys volunteer work and medical mission trips.
