​OrthoAtlanta has been named the official orthopedic and sports medicine provider to the Atlanta Football Host Committee (AFHC) for the 2018 College Football Playoff (CFP) National Championship to be played on Monday, Jan. 8, 2018, at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, Georgia. OrthoAtlanta is proud to be a part of the AFHC “I’m In” campaign, participating in many activities leading up to, and including the national championship game.

“As the official orthopedic and sports medicine provider of the Atlanta Football Host Committee, OrthoAtlanta physicians and medical staff will be present at the 2018 CFP National Championship providing one-stop medical services throughout the game to the players, coaches, staff and officials,” said Todd A. Schmidt, MD, OrthoAtlanta orthopedic surgeon and medical director for the Atlanta Football Host Committee. Dr. Schmidt is joined by OrthoAtlanta physicians from multiple orthopedic specialties, plus athletic trainers and administrative staff, who together will be providing 24/7 medical support services during game week, and on game day.

In the months leading up to the game, OrthoAtlanta medical staff and management personnel have been working together with AFHC management ensuring that once the teams are known, the medical needs of the teams, their coaches and staff are served. Hosted by the Atlanta Football Host Committee, and held at the College Football Hall of Fame and Chick-fil-A Fan Experience, the luncheon celebrated the start of the 2017 college football season, offering attendees insight into the upcoming season by members of ESPN College GameDay, ABC Saturday Night Football, and many others.

OrthoAtlanta is taking part in the celebrated AFHC “I’m In” billboard and social media campaign running through game week. Outdoor boards displaying the OrthoAtlanta logo will be visible across the Atlanta metropolitan area with the “We’re In” message.
